Greetings and salutations to all who wander by this place, the digital home of The Harp Guitar Gathering®! I hope you are well and staying both safe and sane.
As of this morning, Covid-19 has claimed 405,000 lives in this country alone. Vaccines are getting out there but the virus still rages. While there is certainly more pain to come, I am hopeful that this thing might be in our collective rear view mirror sometime later this year.
It’s obviously a challenge to plan any sort of event again this year, especially at this early date. However I hope there might be a little more clarity a few months from now. If that is indeed the case, and if the signs in late March/early April seems to indicate that a Gathering in the Autumn is something that can be safely managed, then we on the HGG Executive Board will spring into action. We’ll get a date on the calendar and a plan in motion. If prudence dictates otherwise, we’ll plan for another virtual HGG, of course. But I very much hope that won’t be necessary.
So, you all stay safe out there and check in periodically! Check your B strings.
Best wishes,
Stephen
